Meet the Owner, Michael Merren

Michael Merren, CEO / Owner of ComForCare Home Care Grand Rapids, is a husband and father of 3. He holds graduate degrees in Philosophy and Theology. Prior to purchasing the Grand Rapids ComForCare Office, he worked in non-profit management and pastoral care for nearly 20 years. While serving in those capacities in Kentwood, Michael was exposed to the needs and issues of seniors and was drawn to working as an advocate and facilitator for their greater health and wellbeing. Michael is a Certified Senior Advisor and has extensive training in Dementia Care including DementiaWise and EssentialAlz Certification. Michael sits on national advisory committees for the ComForCare franchise group. Locally, Michael is an advisor for the Area Agency on Aging's Caregiver Resource Network and Family Caregiver University. As a home care professional Michael is passionate about providing his colleagues, friends and neighbors with the information and tools that they need to care for their loved ones.
