Fall Risk Management
The CDC reports that one in four older adults falls each year, and half of all falls happen to those living with a neurological disorder. Such falls are the leading reason for emergency room admissions, and the related injuries can pose serious consequences for these individuals and their families.
While the risk of falls may not be eliminated completely, effective interventions can reduce one’s risk and lessen the severity of fall-related injuries. Better understanding the cause of falls will allow you to implement a variety of preventative interventions without sacrificing a patient’s participation or freedom of movement. This informative workshop is designed to do just that.
