Chuck: Hiker, Snowshoer, Camper, Scuba Diver
“Where we come from, family takes care of family. And our clients are like family.”
A Calling That Hits Close to Home
When Chuck began looking for his next calling in life, ComForCare quickly rose to the top. For starters, Chuck had recently gone through the process of finding in-home care for his parents, so this work struck a personal cord.
“ComForCare stuck out on a personal level,” Chuck said. “Seeing things from my parent’s point of view really hit home for me.”
Caring for Others: Music to Our Ears
“I’m really looking forward to bringing the Joyful Memories program to life for our clients,” Chuck says. “Music is one of those things that helps trigger good memories. I think that’s a really special gift to be able to give our clients.”
“Especially our patients with dementia because music is so powerful for them,” Chuck adds. “They remember the songs and it calms them while also stimulating their brains in a way that isn’t overwhelming.”
The Heart of the Matter
Chuck is an expert you can rely on, but it’s so much more than that. “It’s about making a personal connection,” Chuck says. “Where we come from, family takes care of family. And our clients are like family.”
Chuck knows that caring for others takes heart, reliability and commitment. That’s why those three qualities must be present in every team member they choose to join their team.
“Our team really cares for our clients and will be there for them. Because that really makes the whole process of care.”
